ABOUT ROSANGELA LAWRENCE AND BPLS

Rosangela Lawrence got her degrees in English and Portuguese - language and literature, in Brazil. There she worked in public and private schools teaching both languages. She moved to Michigan in 1994.

Applying her experience in teaching English as a second language to the teaching of Portuguese in the U.S., she created a course on Portuguese Language and Brazilian Culture in 1995. Since then, she has been using and updating her course to teach at Washtenaw Community College, in Ypsilanti, MI, as well as privately.

Her love for languages has been the center of her academic and professional life.
